Ghent University Symphonic Orchestra will take part in the Toscana Music Festival in Italy. In order to prepare optimally and also to pamper their diehard fans one last time this academic year, they will bring their festival repertoire for the first time at 'Concertgebouw' Bruges.

If ABBA did the introduction, they would say "two for the price of one" because it will be a double concert together with the respected Saratoga High School Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Orchestra (California). They are playing this concert as part of their European Summer Tour.

You will hear works composed by Piazzolla,de Falla, Navarro, Mahr, Stephenson and more.

For the second time in the MiO history (after the Winter concert 2013)
They would like to introduce you to a "Russian duet"
Musical journey through Russia. The evening will start with the circus polka for a young elephant,
Composed by Igor Stravinsky for a performance of a well - known
American circus with 40 elephants and 40 ballerinas.
The program will continue with the violin concerto by Tchaikovsky.
Anne Maria Wehrmeyer will perform as a soloist.
To conclude, they will play the second symphony by Borodin, the
Surnames "heroic symphony".
